Could you tell us a bit about your book and why it is a must-read?

How to Catch a Mouse with No Cheese is written for people who either have been in business for up to a year or are interested in starting a business, but do not have money. It discusses five life-changing principles that will help you succeed. Each principle has its own basis for preparing you to get your business up and growing with no money.

It is a must read because people must become a business owner and stop being a modern-day plantation worker. To my understanding the U.S.A. is a capitalist society and Entrepreneurship is the only way to go period.

What inspired you to write your book?

I always knew, I was going to write a book because when I was a child growing up in South Louisiana, I discovered my gift from RA that was Entrepreneurship and I wanted to inspire people on becoming Entrepreneurs and in this book, I hope people will become Entrepreneurs. What’s the most surprising thing you learned while writing your book?

How strong my Faith was in RA because starting a business with no money your chances of success is slim to none. How did you come up with the title for your book?

Growing up in South Louisiana our home was next to a sugarcane field and every time during grinding season mice would get into our home and I discovered a way on how to kill the mice when they got into our home with no cheese, so that’s how I came up with my title. Do you have any unique or quirky writing habits?

No, I just brain storm, plan, and execute my thoughts and ideas on paper. On a more personal note: Tell us a little about your “real” (non-writing) life — family, job, hobbies.

You must wait for my next book for me to answer this question. It will be a must read. LOL Do you have any advice for the yet-to-be-published writers reading this?

Everyone has a story, but all writers must have a story that is unique and helpful to people in their lives. What's next for you in lit (literature) and in life?

Today, with nearly 20 years of experience, Donnie P. is guided by his unwavering faith in God and desire to develop business platforms that will uplift others. Donnie P. is currently founder and CEO of DLHD Holdings, LLC, which is the franchisor organization for his franchise business, A Caring Home Services. He launched A Caring Home Services’ national franchise rollout in the middle of 2012. In August of 2013, he sold his first of many franchises to Karl and Beverley Stephens, LLC out of Nashville, Tennessee.
